Secrets of His Presence | Pastor Adrian Pose (+VIDEOS)

The Glory is the splendor of God to shine in the darkness; the Presence is the Holy Spirit in Person relating to you.

Anyone can see a splendor of an explosion far away from the bomb and not necessarily be in direct contact with the PRESENCE of the bomb. Likewise, I can see the splendor of the Glory of God through His power and not be in contact with His Presence.

His Glory draws your attention to His attributes, His Presence draws your attention to His Person. Through His Glory you know about God, through His Presence you know God. In His Glory, God is WITH YOU to bless others, in the Presence God is WITHIN you for you to enjoy Him. In the Glory the famous shine, in the Presence only He shines. His Glory is manifested in exaltation and praise, His Presence in humiliation and adoration. In the Glory you shine, in the Presence only God shines. His Glory impacts outside, His Presence impacts inside. His Glory benefits many, His Presence mainly benefits you. In the Glory you enjoy your inheritance purchased by Jesus on the cross, in the Presence He is your inheritance.

The lowest level of knowledge of Deity is through the Glory, the highest level is through His Presence. The multitudes, saints and sinners come to Glory, but very few believers go to His Presence. His glory leads me to believe him, His presence leads me to love him. Every time the Glory is spoken of, faith increases, every time His Presence is spoken of, the fear of God increases. In the Glory depression is possible, but in the Presence there is fullness of joy. The Glory does not fill the heart, the heart is filled by His Presence. Everything that is the source of your happiness that is not His Presence becomes your idol. In the Glory you have “freedom”, but in His Presence you are His slave for love.

In Glory you realize that He knows you by your name, but in His Presence it is you who know Him by His name. In genuine praise you are led to sing, but in genuine worship it just flows. In the Glory you command and declare, in the Presence you have to beg. In the Glory you realize that God always chased after you, but in the Presence you are the one who passionately chases after Him and you say to Him: “Here I am, send me”; “Don’t take me out of here if your presence doesn’t go with me.” In the Glory one gets tired, but in the Presence you rest. In Glory we have authority, but in the Presence we have to cry out to Him.

His Glory notifies you of His works, His presence makes you understand His ways.

He made known his ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel. (Psalms 103:7)

See also Exodus 33:12-17. In the Old Testament Moses did not have an inheritance, only promises; but he had understood that the desert was not the destination but the way to the promised land. Even so, Moses understood that the most important thing was not destiny, but His Presence.

We can imagine God saying to Moses: «Son, have peace, I want to give you in addition to my Presence, your promised land.» But the image of my children comes to mind that when I tell them: “Go ahead, I’ll catch up with you right away”, they, knowing that they are going to enjoy a walk with mom and dad, cry as if to say: “If it’s not with you, dad, don’t get us out of here.”

See Psalm 84:1-12. You lose your strength when you pay more attention to His works than to His Presence. Addictions leave with a superior and sublime addiction. What for others is destruction and the end, for you is only the beginning. You know that you have grown when you remember what hurt you with joy and use it as a source of blessing to others. See Matthew 25:1-13. The foolish took the Glory (lamp, brightness, splendor) but not the Presence (oil in their vessels). People who seek the Glory but do not cultivate the Presence remain in rapture. The Presence cannot be imparted or transferred to you, it must be sought by oneself.
