Religious people often say, “the sovereignty of God will choose who to give gifts to heal and manifest the supernatural”, or “when God wants, he will heal someone who is sick.”
Then comes someone anointed, that God uses in miracles, signs and wonders, but they reject the revelation, teaching and principles that are hidden behind that mantle that was given to them by the same divine sovereignty for which they are believing.
So, they want to look for someone else, someone else who adapts to their theological tradition, but they cannot find it, they continue to reject the revelation of the Kingdom, because they are waiting for God to conform to their theology and tradition contrary to the manifestation of the Holy Spirit, in name of “good order” and “godliness”.
“having the appearance of godliness, but denying its POWER…”
2 Timothy 3:5
The word “power”, used in this scripture, is from the Greek “dunamis”, which means “miraculous power”. Here Paul is not referring only to false believers, but also to genuine believers, who believe in the age to come, but deny that the powers of the age to come can be experienced here and now. (See Hebrews 6:5).
Jesus’ yoke is easy and light is His burden to enter heaven (See Matthew 11:28-30); but difficult is the yoke of the Holy Spirit, and heavy is His burden to bring heaven and bring others to heaven, and few are those who carry it.
“But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
Matthew 9:36-38
As we pray for God’s heart need, we discover that we are that solution we were praying for. Be that labourer that Jesus is calling to collaborate with Him, to reap the end-time harvest of souls.
New wine cannot be poured into old wineskins. Give room for the Holy Spirit to move in your life with power!
